We have many more NDIS funded participants accessing our WA Getaway program this year. The group excursions are a cost-effective way to access shared services in a multi-day community setting. 

The Getaways Program offers flexible opportunities for short-term breaks from home, capacity building, social participation and community inclusion.

The Group Getaways program is proving to very popular with families looking for something different when it comes to taking regular breaks. The program offers lots of opportunities to socialise with likeminded peers, try new things and keep the cost of regular family respite affordable by accessing shared support services. 

Individual services continue to be available on request with custom 1:1 flexible breaks away that are tailored to meet your NDIS Plans goals and are based on the outcomes you want to achieve.

Participants who are eligible to utilise Short-term Supported Accommodation funding, from their core budget, will be 100% funded to attend most local Getaways (except transport).

Participants who are eligible to utilise funds from their community participation budget will usually fund the direct support component  (approx. 55% of price) and will generally co-pay the balance (approx. 45% of price) themselves. The co-payment covers the cost of meals, accommodation and some activities.
